6:50am   Lynn Creek Park entrance closes. 

  • All participants and spectators must be inside Lynn Creek Park by this time. 
  • Anyone arriving after this time will not be allowed access to the park.  If you are late, your day is done...

(Note:  Awards times are a best estimate, field size and race day weather conditions may cause changes on site.)

Transition area:

  • The Transition area will be swim-Run in/ Run out on one end.  Bike in / Bike out on the other end.
  • Bike Racks will be assigned based on race distance. (Sprint and International Distance)
  • The Transition area for this event will be set up so at the completion of the Sprint race, the sprinters will be able to remove your bikes.  As well as at the completion of the International distance race, those racers bike can be removed. Announcements will be made when you can remove your bike.  Not adhering to this may lead to a penalty or even a DQ.

 Cut Off Times

  • Start time for the first wave of the PrairieMan International Triathlon Swim is scheduled for 7:15am
  • The 1000 yard Swim course will close at 50 min from start of the last wave.  The 500 Yard Course will close 30 Minutes after the send of of the final wave for that distance.   Those not completing the course within this time will not be allowed to continue.  Start and Finish of the Swim are adjacent to each other at the base of a large boat ramp.
  • The Bike Course for the International Distance Tri / Aqua Bike, is a 2 lap course.  All Racers must be through their 1st lap and onto their 2nd lap by 9:00am.  Those coming in off their 1st lap after 9:00am will be directed back to the Transition Area. 


Swim Course info

• The Swim Start and Finish for all races are adjacent to each other at the base of a large boat ramp.  Direction of swim course is clockwise.  With buoys on your right. Historically the water temp is above 78 degrees.  If above 78 degree wetsuits will not be allowed. 

• Sprint Triathlon:  500 yard Course - single lap ( on below Map it is the orange line )

• International Distance Tri / Open water Swim:  1500 yard Course - Single Lap  ( yellow line on Below Map )

• The Run to the Transition Area from the swim exit is about 75 yards.

 Bike Course Information

Sprint Tri/Du - 1 Lap of a 12.5 miles course.

International Distance Tri -  21.5 mile Course. After exiting the park the rider will do 2 laps of the lake ridge portion of the course.  The Turnaround after the 1st lap will be in front of the Fire station just outside of the park.  At the end of your 2nd lap you will return through the park to the transition area.

 Run Course Information

Sprint Tri - 1 Lap of a 3 miles course.

Sprint Duathlon - The First run will use a 2.5 mile out and back course.  The second run will use the same 3 mile course as the triathlons.

International Distance Tri - 6 mile Course. Runner will do 2 laps of the 3 mile route.  The Turnaround after the 1st lap will be adjacent to the transition on the apron of the Boat ramp.  At the end of your 2nd lap you go past the turnaround and proceed to the finish line.

Lynn Creek Park policy is to collect a $10 per car Parking Fee when you enter the park. 

You can save a few bucks by Car Pooling with a friend.

Please be aware of this and be prepared at the gate. 

Allow yourself a few extra minutes on race morning.


 Refund Policy:

This event has a "No Refund" policy. Race management has no obligation to provide participants full or partial refunds or entry fee rollovers to other events, if a cancellation occurs due to inclement weather, terrorist acts or due to other factors beyond our control.

Race Management reserves the right to alter, modify or cancel the event based upon weather conditions, input from law enforcement or from other permit issuing agencies.

Awards Matrix  and Amenities for Triathlons & Open water Swim

 

  • At packet pick-up each registrant is to receive your race number packet, and goody bag.  You will pick up your timing chip on race morning at race site.
  • We will have a post race fellowship and gathering area, offering hot food as well as cold drinks.
  • Teams and Clubs are welcome to bring there own tents to set up in the post race area.
  • All finishers will receive a commemorative finishers medal.

  Info and general questions:

What to bring with you to Registration:  You will need to Bring a Photo ID and your USAT card if you are an annual member.

Clydesdale's and Athena's:  Weight Requirement;  Clyde's =220 or more and Athena = 165 or more. All those reg'ed in these categories will be weighed in at packet pick up.  If you don't meet the weight requirements we will shift you to your respective age group.

Wet suit Rules:  pool swims are "no wet suit".  For our events in May and Sept at Lynn Creek Park.  If the water temp is below 78 degrees, wet suits will be allowed.  Above 78 degree will be "no wetsuit"  the only exception is for those in the Physically Challenged Category.

Bike Course Aid Stations:  There are no Bike course aid Stations for this event

What Do I do if I break down on the bike Course?  We will have a Sag vehicle that will be on the course.  Step to the side of the road and tell a course marshal of law officer that you a ride.  Depending on the volume of need for the service it could take 30+ minutes for sag service to arrive. 

What type of bike can I use?  Standard road and Mt bikes are permitted,  recumbent bikes and tandems are not allowed.

Helmets are required to be on and buckled at any time you are on the bike.

Are the roads open or closed to traffic during the race?  The roads are open to traffic.  Some events we will have lane closures.  If there is a lane closure you will be required to ride within the designated lane. 

Timing:  all our multisport events use chip timing.  You will be provided a timing chip with a velcro strap.  This chip, is to be placed around your left ankle.  These chips are expensive, replacement cost is $30.  The Athlete will be responsible for replacement if lost. 

Transition Area etiquette:  Only Athletes are allowed in the transition.  This is considered a secure area.  No friends or relatives are permitted to enter the transition area.

Bike removal for the transition area after the event:  The Race director will be the one that announces when the transition area will open for equipment removal.   Normally we will open the transition once the final biker re-racks their bike.

I am unable to make the race can I get a refund?

It is clearly stated in all of our materials, there will be NO REFUNDS.

If you are unable to compete due to illness and/or injury then you may qualify for a medical transfer to next year’s event. In order to qualify you must email the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and request a rollover greater then 10 days prior to the event.

I gave my entry to a friend, because I was not able to race, is this ok?

Absolutely Not. If someone else races under your name and is injured, or causes an accident, that person will not be covered by any protection typically afforded to an athlete through the event insurance. Additionally, if the athlete racing in your name causes injury or damage, you may be liable in part for those damages.
