6:45am   Lynn Creek Park entrance closes.  All participants and spectators must be inside the Park by this time.  Any one arriving after this time will not be allowed access to the park.  If your late, your day is done...  Plan your morning accordingly.  (Location Map For race site here)
  • 5:00 am Packet pick up opens at race site

Cut Off Times
  • Start time for the first wave of the International Triathlon Swim is scheduled for 6:55am
  • The 1000 yard Swim course will close at 1 hour from start of the last wave.  The 500 Yard Course will close 30 Minutes after the send of of the final wave for that distance.   Those not completing the course within this time will not be allowed to continue.  Start and Finish of the Swim are adjacent to each other.
The Bike Course for the International Distance Tri is a 2 lap course.  All Racers must be through their 1st lap and onto their 2nd lap by 8:45am.  Those coming in off their 1st lap after 8:45am will be sent back to the Transition Area.
Tri / Du  - Course Info

Transition area: 

  • The Transition area will be swim in/ Run out on one end.  Bike in / Bike out on the other end.
  • Bike Racks will be assigned based on race distance. (Sprint and International Distance)

Swim:     

  • Swim will be a Counter Clockwise Direction
  • Sprint Tri will be a 500 yard open water swim. 
  • International distance Tri and open water swim will be a 1000 yard open water swim. 
  • Direction for all distances will be Counter Clockwise.
  • Start for all distances are "in water knee to waist deep".
  • Exit for all distances are on a concrete boat ramp. 
  • Swim time will be taken as the athlete crosses the timing mat at the top of the boat ramp.
  • Exit from water to transition area is roughly a 75 yard swim.

Bike:       Sprint Bike Course Map 

International Bike Course Map

  • Sprint Tri /Du is a 12.5 mile course. 1 full lap of Lake Ridge Parkway
  • The International distance Tri is a 21.5 mile course.  2 laps of Lake Ridge Parkway
    • After exiting the park the rider will do 2 laps of Lake Ridge Parkway.  The Turnaround after the 1st lap will be in front of the Fire station just outside of the park.  At the end of your 2nd lap you will return through the park to the transition area.
    • All cyclist coming to the Bike turn around point after 9:55am will be sent to the transition area.
  • Lake Ridge Parkway will have lanes coned off for your use and safety.
    • South Bound on Lake Ridge,  The Cyclist will use the inside lane. Vehicles will use the outside lane.
    • North Bound on Lake Ridge, The Cyclist will use the outside lane.  Vehicles will use the inside lane.

Run:     Course Map

  • Sprint Duathlon - 1st and second runs are the same.  2.5 mile out and back course
  • Sprint Triathlon - 2.5 mile out and back course
  • International Triathlon - two laps of the 2.5 mile course.
  • Aid Stations - One at the exit of the transition area and one each 1.25 mile thereafter.
  • Products at aid stations:  Water and Gatorade.

Finish line:

  • Each finisher to receive a custom finishers Medal.

Post Race area:

  • Hot post race food
  • Fellowship area - Tented with tables and and chairs
  • Bring your Team tent, we will have room it.

Lynn Creek Park policy is to collect a $10 per car Parking Fee when you enter the park. 

You can save a few bucks by Car Pooling with a friend.

Please be aware of this and be prepared at the gate.

 Info and general questions:

What to bring with you to Registration:  You will need to Bring a Photo ID and your USAT card if you are an annual member.

Clydesdale's and Athena's:  Weight Requirement;  Clyde's =220 Lbs or more and Athena = 165 lbs or more. All those reg'ed in these categories will be weighed in at packet pick up.  If you don't meet the weight requirements we will shift you to your respective age group.

Wet suit Rules:  pool swims are "no wet suit".  For Open Water Swims if the water temp is  78 degrees or below, wet suits will be allowed.  Above 78 degree will be "no wetsuit"  the only exception is for those in the Physically Challenged Category.

Bike Course Aid Stations:  This event will not have bike aid Stations. 

What Do I do if I break down on the bike Course?  We will have a Sag vehicle that will be on the course.  Step to the side of the road and tell a course marshal of law officer that you a ride.  Depending on the the the amount of use the sag service receives it take 30 + minutes for them to arrive. 

What type of bike can I use?  Standard road and Mt bikes are permitted,  recumbent bikes and tandems are not allowed.

Helmets are required to be on and buckled at any time you are on the bike.

Are the roads open or closed to traffic during the race?  The roads are open to traffic.  Some events we will have lane closures.  If there is a lane closure you will be required to ride within the designated lane. 

Timing:  all our multisport events use chip timing.  You will be provided a timing chip with a velcro strap.  This chip using the provided strap is to be placed around your left ankle.  These chips are expensive, replacement cost is $30.  The Athlete will be responsible for replacement if lost. 

Transition Area etiquette:  Only Athletes are allowed in the transition.  This is considered a secure area.  No friends or relatives permitted to enter the transition area.

Bike removal for the transition area after the event:  The Race director will be the one that announces when thetransition area will open for equipment removal.   Normally we will open the transition once the final biker re-racks their bike.

I am unable to make the race can I get a refund?

It is clearly stated in all of our materials, there will be NO REFUNDS.

If you are unable to compete due to illness and/or injury then you may qualify for a medical transfer to next year’s event. In order to qualify you must email the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and request a rollover greater then 10 days prior to the event.

I gave my entry to a friend, because I was not able to race, is this ok?

Absolutely No. If someone else races under your name and is injured, or causes an accident, that person will not be covered by any protection typically afforded to an athlete through the event insurance. Additionally, if the athlete racing in your name causes injury or damage, you may be liable in part for those damages.
