Parking

All Parking is adjacent to the Aquatic center in the ISD Parking area.

Transition is located in the parking area in front of the aquatic center.

Bike in and out on one end.  In from the swim and out on the run at the other end.

Swim Course Information

Swim distance = 400 yards.  This event uses the beautiful Denton Aquatic center for the Swim.  The Pool is set at 25 Yards per length. Time Trial Start.  One person each 10 sec.  During the registration process you will be asked to provide your projected swim finish time.  Be Honest with yourself.  If you saw you will finifh in 6 Minutes you will be place in line with others who have provided that time.  If you faster of slower then this, you will either need to swim around others or if your slower they will need to swim around you.  This can make for congestion and  less then an optimal experience. 

Bike Course Information

The course rolls out of the Aquatic center and heads north on Hwy 428.  Slightly rolling course through the farm lands of north central TX.

This is a 2 lap run course, total distance 5K.  Run Course aid station are approximately each 3/4 of a mile.

Info and general questions:

What to bring with you to Registration:  You will need to Bring a Photo ID and your USAT card if you are an annual member.

Clydesdale's and Athena's:  Weight Requirement;  Clyde's =220 or more and Athena = 165 or more. All those reg'ed in these categories will be weighed in at packet pick up.  If you don't meet the weight requirements we will shift you to your respective age group.

Wet suit Rules:  pool swims are "no wet suit".  If swim is in open water and the water temp is 78 degrees or below, wet suits will be allowed.  Above 78 degree will be "no wetsuit"  the only exception is for those in the Physically Challenged Category.

Pool swim start order:  We will order you based upon the swim time you provide during the registration process.  Once the order is established based on the info YOU provided, there will not be and changes. 

Bike Course Aid Stations:  This event will  not have any bike aid Stations. 

What Do I do If I break down on the bike Course?  We will have a Sag vehicle that will be on the course.  Step to the side of the road and tell a course marshal of law officer that you a ride.  This is a courtesy service.  Depending on the volume of support needed during the race is could take upwards of 30 min or more to reach you. 

What type of bike can I use?  Standard road and Mt bikes are permitted,  recumbent bikes and tandems are not allowed.

Helmets are required to be on and buckled at any time you are on the bike.

Are the roads open or closed to traffic during the race?  The roads are open to traffic.  This events does not have a lane closure.  Se sure to ride to the Right at all times. 

Timing:  all our multisport events use chip timing.  You will be provided a timing chip with a velcro strap.  This chip using the provided strap is to be placed around your left ankle.  These chips are expensive, replacement cost is $30.  The Athlete will be responsible for replacement if lost. 

Transition Area etiquette:  Only Athletes are allowed in the transition.  This is considered a secure area.  No friends or relatives permitted to enter the transition area.

Bike removal for the transition area after the event:  The Race director will be the one that announces when thetransition area will open for equipment removal.   Normally we will open the transition once the final biker re-racks their bike.

I am unable to make the race can I get a refund?

It is clearly stated in all of our materials, there will be NO REFUNDS.

If you are unable to compete due to illness and/or injury then you may qualify for a medical transfer to next year’s event. In order to qualify you must email the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and request a rollover greater then 10 days prior to the event.

I gave my entry to a friend, because I was not able to race, is this ok?

Absolutely No. If someone else races under your name and is injured, or causes an accident, that person will not be covered by any protection typically afforded to an athlete through the event insurance. Additionally, if the athlete racing in your name causes injury or damage, you may be liable in part for those damages.
